Test Drive the Transpositional Torre Today and Win!
Getting an edge with White isn’t as easy as it used to be – everyone is booked up, everyone has their favorite pet lines and (sorry!) everyone has a Chessable course.
You can sidestep some of those problems with the Torre Attack – and you can try it out with this Short and Sweet course.
You’ll be playing d4, Nf3 and Bg5 against most setups, giving you a coherent repertoire that keeps the game within your territory.
You’ll be aiming for a position like this, which gives White a free hand in attacking on the kingside.

f4 is the start of a powerful kingside attack
The course starts with an inspirational game where White used this initiative to play a model game. The attack builds gradually but it’s very difficult to stop.

White’s attack is unstoppable
After that, you’ll learn how to handle the 3 main setups against the Torre:
👑 Nf6 + e6-based setups, where you’ll develop the “traditional” Torre Attack
👑 g6-based setups – you’ll avoid the heavy theory of the KID and Grunfeld, instead opting to grab space on the kingside
👑 The Anti-Torre – you’ll delay Bg5 and wait for the right moment to transpose to a favorable position
👑 You’ll also get a great idea against the Dutch, so you won’t get caught by surprise there
GM Pepe Cuenca has played this opening throughout his career, so he’s the perfect coach to introduce you to this fascinating opening.
